Dr. Nathan Hansen grew up on a farm where his family operates a cow/calf herd and also grows corn, soybeans and alfalfa. After high school graduation Nate attended Central College in Pella, Iowa.  Dr. Nathan received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology while also playing football (Go Dutch!) and sang in the A cappella choir. He graduated and worked two years at Southwest Iowa Egg cooperative as an assistant manager then worked for a year at the National Animal Disease Center in Ames before returning to the College of Veterinary medicine at Iowa State University and graduating in 2009.

Nate married Terri who was a fellow graduate of Central College. They have 3 children Ada, Isaac and Mack.  When he has free time, Nate enjoys being outdoors including farming with his dad, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Hometown: Anita, IA

Favorite thing about working at Anita Veterinary Clinic: Dr. Nate enjoys working and learning about all types of animals, but has a strong interest in cow/calf practice
